Permanent, naturally growing eyebrows — the safe, luxurious alternative to microblading. Physician-performed, artistically designed, and yours for life.
Why You Should Think Twice
Microblading has become enormously popular as a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo for the eyebrows. But what most patients don't know is that the inks used in microblading and permanent makeup have come under increasing medical scrutiny — and the findings are concerning.
Recent research published in eClinicalMedicine (The Lancet) has linked tattoo ink exposure to a significantly elevated risk of lymphoma — a type of blood cancer. A large-scale Swedish study found a 21% higher lymphoma risk among tattooed individuals. A separate Danish twin cohort study reported a hazard ratio of 2.73 for lymphoma in individuals with larger tattoo exposure, attributing the risk to chronic inflammation and ink particle migration to the lymph nodes.
While these studies focused on general tattooing, microblading uses chemically similar inks deposited in the facial dermis — an area rich in lymphatic drainage that flows directly into cervical lymph nodes. The inks used in permanent makeup have been found to contain heavy metals, azo dyes, and other compounds that are classified as potential carcinogens.
Beyond cancer risk, microblading fades unevenly over 12–18 months, often turning gray, blue, or orange. It requires ongoing touch-ups — each one introducing more ink into your lymphatic system. And the results never look truly natural because it's pigment on skin, not real hair.
Microblading Risks
- Tattoo inks linked to elevated lymphoma (blood cancer) risk in peer-reviewed studies
- Ink particles migrate to lymph nodes, triggering chronic inflammatory response
- Heavy metals and potential carcinogens found in permanent makeup pigments
- Fades unevenly — turns gray, blue, or orange over 12-18 months
- Requires repeated touch-ups, compounding ink exposure over time
- Results never look like real hair — flat pigment on skin
- Risk of scarring, infection, and allergic reactions to ink
Eyebrow Transplant Advantages

The Procedure
Eyebrow transplantation takes significantly less time than a full scalp transplant — typically 2-3 hours compared to 6-8 hours for a full scalp procedure. The smaller treatment area means a faster, more comfortable experience with minimal downtime.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. You'll be relaxed and comfortable throughout. Most patients describe the experience as virtually painless — far more comfortable than a microblading session, which many report as quite painful.
