Restore your density & confidence with our Advanced Hair Restoration Protocol. Scalp microneedling with exosomes, PRP injections, and physician-prescribed medication therapy.
Exosomes + Sylfirm X
Our primary non-surgical hair restoration protocol combines Sylfirm X RF microneedling with exosome therapy applied directly to the scalp. The Sylfirm X device creates thousands of micro-channels in the scalp tissue using radiofrequency energy, stimulating a wound-healing response that wakes up dormant hair follicles and dramatically increases blood flow to the treatment area.
Immediately following the microneedling, we apply exosomes — nano-sized extracellular vesicles packed with growth factors, cytokines, and regenerative signaling molecules — directly into the open micro-channels. This allows the exosomes to penetrate deep into the follicular unit, delivering regenerative instructions directly to the hair follicle stem cells.
The combination of RF energy stimulation and exosome delivery creates a synergistic response that neither treatment can achieve alone. Patients consistently report visible improvement in hair density, thickness, and coverage.
The Process
- Scalp numbed with topical anesthetic for comfort
- Sylfirm X RF microneedling applied across treatment areas
- Exosomes applied directly into open micro-channels
- Growth factors penetrate deep into follicular units
- Healing response activates dormant follicles over weeks
PRP
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves drawing a small amount of your own blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and their growth factors, and injecting that concentrated plasma directly into the scalp at areas of thinning. The growth factors signal dormant follicles to re-enter the active growth phase.
PRP is performed as a standalone treatment or combined with our Sylfirm X + exosome protocol for maximum follicular stimulation. A typical PRP series is 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.
Best for: Early to moderate thinning, maintenance between microneedling sessions
Minoxidil & Finasteride
Alongside procedural treatments, we prescribe medical-grade Minoxidil and Finasteride in both oral and topical formulations to combat hair thinning at the hormonal level. These FDA-approved medications are the cornerstone of long-term hair preservation and complement our regenerative treatments.
Minoxidil is a vasodilator that increases blood flow to hair follicles, extending the growth phase and increasing follicle size. Available in topical solution or foam, it's effective for both men and women.
Finasteride (males only) blocks the conversion of testosterone to DHT — the hormone directly responsible for follicular miniaturization in androgenetic alopecia. It is our strong recommendation that male patients take oral Finasteride as part of their hair preservation strategy.
A Word on Finasteride Safety
We understand there is public concern about Finasteride and its potential impact on sexual wellness. We want to address this directly with the data:
The research behind these claims shows that a very small percentage of patients — typically less than 2% in clinical trials — experience any sexual side effects, and these effects are generally reversible upon discontinuation. The vast majority of patients tolerate Finasteride with zero issues.
The benefit of preserving your existing hair follicles — follicles that cannot be regrown once they're gone — far outweighs the low-probability risk for most male patients. Dr. Shewmake discusses this in detail during your consultation and monitors all patients on Finasteride therapy.
1mg daily — systemic DHT reduction
Applied to scalp — localized action
5% solution — men & women
Low-dose — systemic vasodilation
Your Complete
We combine all three approaches for maximum results — treatments to stimulate growth, and medication to prevent further loss.
